Welcome to our Custom Cake Guide!
We do consider ourselves an American style bakery meaning we work with American style buttercream and make cakes in an American style. We always encourage customers to try our baked goods prior to purchasing a cake to make sure our style is in line with what you're looking for. We have cupcakes or cake cups for purchase in our shop daily if you'd like to try our creations prior to ordering a custom cake. Alternatively, you're more than welcome to register for a monthly cake tasting here.
We do not work with fondant (click on the link if you're unsure what fondant is) or gum paste. All of our cakes are either round or heart shaped.
HBG does not provide sketch mockups of custom cakes. We use our extensive cake decorating skills and inspiration photos to bring your cake to life.
Please review our Cake Care page to ensure you've selected the correct pickup date. Cakes cannot be picked up and immediately served.
We are open 11AM-6PM Monday-Friday, 10AM-6PM on Saturday, and 11AM-4PM on Sunday. Cakes must be picked up during business hours. Alternative pickup times outside business hours CANNOT be requested.
Below is a gallery of cakes we've created in the past, and would be considered a "custom request". If you would like to order a Predesigned, Non-Customizable Cake, that can be done on our "Order Now" tab and filtered by "Cakes".

Cake Size Diameter: 6", 8", 10", Two-Tiered 6"+8", Two-Tiered 6"+10", and Three Tiered 6"+8"+10" .

6" feeds 6-12, 8" feeds 12-22, 10" feeds up to 32, Two-Tiered 6"+8" feeds up to 35, Two-Tiered 6"+10" feeds up to 44, and Three Tiered 6"+8"+10" feeds up to 66.

Cake Filling: Vanilla Buttercream, Chocolate Buttercream, Lemon Curd, Raspberry, Cherry, or Strawberry. One choice per cake; Fruit is an additional $5-$10 per cake.

Once we have contacted you regarding the details of your cake, we will send you two things: 1) Invoice for Payment and 2) Our Cancellation Policy. Both of these items need to be received electronically to be put on our production schedule. Payment and Cancellation Policies need to be received 7 days prior to the pickup date. If these are not received, your spot on our production schedule will be forfeited.
No in person or over the phone ordering.
